On March 19, 2021, the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Mechanics and Petrochemistry has opened the Central Laboratory of Mechanics and Construction was opened at the Płock branch.

The strategic goal of the project will increase the research potential and market research and development activities in the region of northern Mazovia. The project assumes additional equipping research and mechanical laboratories.

The completed project is another step for PW Branch in Płock towards becoming a developed academic center educating specialists in the field of modern technologies. It is also an opportunity to participate in EU research programs and research cooperation programs, both international and inter-university ones. It is also an opportunity for companies that will gain access to a modern research base in the implementation of innovative technical projects, as well as a chance to acquire well-trained staff.

The total value of the investment was approximately PLN 5 million.
