The Jan Długosz University of Humanities and Sciences in Częstochowa, the Committee on Food and Nutrition Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Society of Food Technologists are inviting participants from 17 to 18 November to the 9th National Scientific Conference of the series Food – Nutrition – Dietetics. The theme of the event will be child nutrition in/and after the pandemic.
People particularly disadvantaged by the pandemic and the problems associated with the war in Ukraine were and still are children, stressed, uprooted from their environment, deprived of contact with their peers and from sometimes the only warm meal they used to get at school.
Nutritionists and food technologists can see the problems arising from these events, e.g. malnutrition on the one hand and obesity on the other, stress and the associated changes in the microbiome, which in turn affect the functioning of the whole body and changes in eating habits”.
