Polish team takes fourth place in the First Moon Base Design Contest

25.03.2021

The members of the Innspace team from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, took fourth place in the First Moon Base Design Contest organized by the international Moon Society.

Designed by Innspace, the Xors Base would consist of four cylindrical modules, each with a separate laboratory and space for four astronauts. The modules would be connected to each other, but for security reasons they would also be self-sufficient and independent. Their inhabitants would fly to the Moon for three, six or nine months – depending on the type of their researches.

Innspace is a group of students, doctoral students and university graduates with various specializations. It includes architects, constructors, programmers, biologists, lawyers and doctors. The group has already won several prestigious awards in international competitions related to space exploration design, incl. the French Student Aerospace Challenge.
