Students of the University of Zielona Góra join the Unicorn Hub project

The project “Advanced Hydrogel System for Skin – AHS4S” of Adrianna Brzozowska and Natalia Gawin, students of biomedical engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zielona Góra has been accepted for the incubation stage in the Unicorn Hub project.

The project aims to develop innovative business ideas, with particular emphasis on industries such as IT / ICT, Medicine / Public Health, Smart City / Transport. 270 applications from all over Poland were submitted for the first part. The jury selected 40 for the incubation stage, including the project “Advanced Hydrogel System for Skin – AHS4S” – a concept of three lines of innovative biodegradable hydrogel dressings for the treatment of skin injuries, developed by two zielona Gora students. Their solution is currently being tested and they are developing a production line concept.

The students are waiting for the incubation process and the next, last selection. If they successfully pass this stage, they will receive a grant of up to PLN 1 million to introduce the product to the market or a chance to raise capital from private investors.
