Anthology of contemporary Polish drama translated into Chinese

An anthology of contemporary Polish drama in Chinese translation has been published in Beijing by China Theatre Press. The editor of the volume is Dr Artur Duda, Professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University from the Department of Cultural Studies.

The volume entitled “We get on well together/ Women zhijian ting hao de. Bolan xin ju xuan’ contains translations of five Polish dramatic works that are aesthetically diverse and written by authors from different generations. These are: “We get on well together” by Dorota Masłowska, ” Our class” by Tadeusz Słobodzianek, “Lucja and her children” by Marek Pruchniewski, ” Dark forest” by Andrzej Stasiuk and “God Nijinsky” by Piotr Tomaszuk. 

Prepared as part of the work of the Research Team – Performatics and Drama Translation Studies, the volume was published with the financial support of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute and the Polish Institute at the Polish Embassy in Beijing.
